Why is the university investing in Keystone Hall and intercollegiate athletics?
Keystone Hall's renovation is the building's first in its 54-year existence and will have a significant impact on the university's students and its guests. Guests attending events at Keystone Arena will experience an enhanced and more welcoming fan experience. The addition of climate-controlled HVAC will allow KU to host additional summers camps and clinics in a comfortable environment year-round. The athletics department serves more than 500 student-athletes, along with coaches, staff, alumni and fans. This renovation will allow the university to accommodate a growing department, enhance the experience for our campus community and will help KU's coaches continue to recruit the best student-athletes.
