The Kutztown University Softball Program had an impressive 2026 season as the Golden Bears finished with 39 victories, capturing the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship before falling in the Super Regional to Glenville State.
The Golden Bears, led by head coach Judy Lawes who is in her 40th season, has recorded over 1,200 career wins and led Kutztown to 24 NCAA DII National Softball Championship appearances. Coach Lawes is only two victories shy of becoming the PSAC's all-time career wins leader and was inducted to the NFCA Hall of Fame in December of 2025. The softball team is impressive in the classroom as well, recording over a 3.49 cumulative team grade point average in the spring of 2026.
