A featured tour at KU Alumni Spring Weekend, join us for a special behind-the-scenes experience at both the DeLight E. Breidegam Building: HQ of the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center and the Sharadin Farmstead.
At 10:00 a.m., enjoy a guided tour of the Heritage Center, led by Dr. William Donner, Freyberger Professor of Pennsylvania German Studies. Dr. Donner will share the rich history, traditions, and cultural significance of Pennsylvania German heritage, offering guests a deeper connection to this unique and meaningful part of our region.
After the tour, continue the conversation over lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the tent beside the Wells/Rapp Center for Mallet Percussion Research.
In the afternoon, you’re invited to travel to the Heritage Farm on Luckenbill Road for an additional guided tour of the farm, again hosted by Dr. Donner, for an even more immersive look at the living history of the site.
