Support the Sound!

Your donation could provide funding to support the amazing student musicians in the Kutztown University Marching Unit. Our big push for this year is money to purchase new percussion equipment, wrap our 26’ Box Truck with a KUMU specific graphic, install a side door on the truck, and monies for new operational expenses for camp and leadership development. As there are opportunities for Drum Majors and Section Leaders to attend a summer leadership camp in Illinois, costing approximately $800–$1,000 per student. Additionally, we need resources to pay our professional teaching staff, who are fundamental to KUMU. We also seek financial support for new instruments and their maintenance, as well as for modifications and operational costs for our new equipment truck. Finally, attracting top student musicians to Kutztown requires further scholarship assistance. Our big wish is to provide a scholarship to section leaders for every year they are in KUMU, which would require $17,000–$25,500.
