The DeLight E. Breidegam Building: Headquarters of Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center is seeking funding to support the care of its growing cultural collections and student workforce in the Library and Archives. The Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at Kutztown University was established in 1991 as an open-air folklife museum and research center dedicated to the preservation and celebration of Pennsylvania German folk culture, history, and language.
An extensive research collection supports genealogical, historical, linguistic, and cultural research for students, faculty, staff, and the public, featuring books, manuscripts, photographs, documents, ephemera, and artifacts showcasing four centuries of the Pennsylvania German cultural presence in the region.
