Due to The Keystone News switching to a fully digital format, it has lost one of its primary revenue streams—advertising. While we are in the process of building our online advertising base by partnering with local businesses, that revenue stream is not yet fully established. Without it, The Keystone News is limited in funding educational trips, such as attending journalism conferences or visiting sites significant to the field.
The Keystone News is a vital student organization, giving students hands-on experience in media production across writing, broadcasting, podcasting, photography, and more. By joining the 1866 Minute Challenge, we can boost our overall revenue, enhancing students’ experiences and exposure to journalism.
