Support German Heritage in Pennsylvania!
In 2022, Kutztown University Foundation and the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center celebrated the grand opening of The DeLight E. Breidegam Building: Headquarters of the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, our new facility housing and displaying the Heritage Center Library collections and serving as the new headquarters for the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at Kutztown University.
Support from donors like you helps maintain the Heritage Center's world-class research collection of books, manuscripts, photographs, documents, ephemera, and artifacts. Gifts ensure we can maintain the state-of-the-art research library, open to students, faculty, visiting researchers, and the public, allowing access to this unique collection showcasing four centuries of the Pennsylvania German cultural presence in the region.
Visitors are welcomed to visit our newly-renovated 10,000 square-foot facilities to explore our 3,100 square-foot library and reading room, a 1,000 square-foot space for the archives and special collections management, a gallery for cultural exhibitions and displays, dedicated workspaces for students in the Pennsylvania German Studies Minor, offices for the Heritage Center Staff, a board room for the Center's Advisory Committee, and an office for the Freyberger Endowed Chair of Pennsylvania German Studies.
